Aaron Streck is an Award-winning news producer for Global News at 11 in Toronto. He is also a skilled MMJ. He joined the station after a successful career reporting and anchoring across the country.
He has produced for the network’s Multi-Market Content division and on demand streaming service.
Aaron’s work has earned him recognition among his peers. Aaron combines his impressive knowledge of news, sports and field logistics to deliver memorable coverage of major event. He received praise for his work producing a live news special on the 2023 Toronto mayoral by-election. He has also delivered coverage of the overturning of Roe v. Wade, the Israel-Hamas war, the Covid-19 pandemic, and historic flooding that paralyzed parts of Toronto.
Resourceful and calm under pressure, Aaron has used a variety of news production software. Aaron believes strongly in giving back, and often mentors up and coming journalists. That includes multiple speaking engagements with students pursuing careers in communications at Humber College.
His passion for news and sports developed early on. He played competitive baseball for several years and credits his time on the ball diamond with teaching him the value of collaboration, discipline, and drive.
He remains a massive baseball fan and is on a mission to take in a game at every MLB ballpark. His two English bulldogs, Melky and Madison are in fact, named after baseball players.
