Shawndrea is living her dream as a broadcast journalist.  She is a “high energy”, “go-getter” reporter as well as a personable and informative anchor at KTVI’s FOX 2 News and KPLR’s News 11.  

Shawndrea holds two Bachelor’s Degrees from Arizona State University in Broadcast Journalism and Interdisciplinary Studies.

Shawndrea comes to St. Louis from Central Florida’s News 13, where she was the weekday Morning traffic anchor.  Prior to working in Orlando, she was a reporter at WSYX/WTTE Columbus, Ohio and Anchor/Reporter at KWES in Midland, Texas. During her time in Texas she broke an exclusive story and interviewed a whistleblower, exposing the west Texas state school scandal. While in Ohio, she covered a wide range of stories including her own “Streets of Speed” franchise, exposing bad drivers and highlighting chronic speeding to make neighborhoods safer.  Shawndrea also did an in-depth report on a fire that destroyed a large part of the Columbus area's historic Grandview district.  Shawndrea is also known as the go to reporter for exclusives. She has a diverse range and ability to cover everything from crime to severe weather and everyday breaking news.

When Shawndrea reports a story, she digs deep, sometimes telling personal stories of her own.The devastating death of her brother, who passed away from melanoma, gained national attention on “The Doctors”.  As hard as it was, she was a guest on the show, carrying out a promise to her brother to be his voice and share his story to help raise awareness. Subsequently, helping others in St. Louis and around the world, get treatment.  Shawndrea captivated her audience by anchoring for 8 hours overnight during the riots in Ferguson, Missouri, and followed for up days, even weeks, later on crowd protests, the aftermath and the rebuilding of the city.

She also has a passion for radio.  While in Texas she hosted her own R&B show.
