When reviewing Joel’s work it was clear that he captivates his viewers with his wit, charm, and a powerful sense of urgency. His work at KGUN 9 in Tucson on the Gabrielle Giffords story garnered national attention from the networks as well as the Top 5 markets in the country. That led to his tenure at FOX5 and WWOR in New York as an investigative reporter. Joel has covered a myriad of creative and thought-provoking stories. His Go Gold series garnered national attention and created a groudswell of support from viewers to support the cause. His work can be defined by his innate character and the connection that he makes with each story effortlessly. Being in Washington has given him the ability to cover politicians and thier policies in conjunction with the stories that have changed the landscape of our world. He's worked on a series of congressional interviews that were insightful, funny and compelling. It's amazing to watch these on point and well scripted congress men and woman let their gaurd down with Joel. It speaks to his ability to find the humanity in all of us.
And I would boldly call him a "Jack of all trades." Joel has worked in almost every aspect of the business including: producing for MSNBC and CNBC, reporting on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange for First Business, as well as various reporting assignments.
His growth and sense of accomplishment can also be attributed to his bright education background. Joel graduated with honors from Brandeis University and he holds a masters degree from the Bank Street College School of Education.
